Here’s what others have to say about Dan’s Coaching

“Logan is a senior in high school this year and has been working with Dan as a pitching coach since he was 9. From all of his super league years up through his high school and college prep seasons, he has been fortunate to have Dan in his corner.  Dan has been an incredible asset in Logans progress and success on the mound, not only by helping him master his pitching skills, but helping him strengthen an equally important tool -his CONFIDENCE! Logan has never been a "big kid" which can often be looked at as detrimental in sports. Thanks to Dan, Logan steps on the mound and any concerns about his size or capabilities disappear.  He is in HIS place, and will confidently face off against any hitter that steps into the box. He becomes big and strong in ways that are only learned from someone who believes in you and teaches you to believe in yourself.  He also knows that Dan cares about his actual success, not just what lessons we are doing.  They have built a mutual respect that drives Logan to push to be his best.  During his 60 minute lesson, Dan offers a great deal of coaching around mindset and confidence which we have seen help Logan in every aspect of the game. While he will coach a specific mechanic, he teaches how to manage game situations on their own and to self correct in a real life situation where they don't have access to real time feedback from anyone but themselves.  Over the years we have worked with Dan, he has consistently progressed Logans skills as he was ready to take on new challenges, both physically and mentally, never letting him rest in his comfort zone.  We have an incredible amount of respect for Dan as a coach and would strongly recommend him to anyone looking to help their son or daughter.”

“My son, Bo, has always loved baseball practice but his pitching progress was stagnant. He felt unguided on what to work on, lost on technique, and constantly worried about letting his team down. Enter Coach Dan! From the very first session, Dan created a completely different atmosphere. Sure, he taught Bo the game – the fundamentals, strategies, the whole package, but more importantly, he taught Bo about himself. Dan Gazaway has this incredible knack for recognizing each player's strengths, no matter how small. He specifically praises Bo for his effort on the mound, his positive attitude about improvement, and even just his small incremental sign of progress. It isn't just about him throwing strikes; it is about celebrating every effort. Slowly but surely, Bo’s confidence has begun to blossom. He has started believing in himself, recognizing his own mistakes and how to fix them, taking risks, and guess what? He even started throwing an accurate curve ball! Dan’s impact goes well beyond the baseball. He teaches life lessons disguised as drills and quick conversations. He emphasizes determination, perseverance, and the importance of good sportsmanship. He encourages the boys to pick up their teammates after a mistake and more importantly how to pick themselves up. It's about building a successful person, not just winning games. Bo isn't just a better baseball player today; he's a more confident young man. He carries himself with a little more swagger, tackles challenges head-on, and supports his teammates. Dan Gazaway may teach baseball, but the lessons he imparts will stay with these boys for a lifetime. Thank you, Coach, for turning an excited but unguided baseball player into a confident young man.”

“Our son started his journey with Dan 2 and a half years ago, and the transformation we've witnessed has been nothing short of remarkable. The progress we've seen has been exceptional and beyond our expectations for his pitching skills, confidence, and desire to be better. Our son has gained much more than we anticipated. The lessons with Dan have been filled with fun, laughter, and an environment where he feels comfortable discussing anything. The trust he places in Dan's teachings is evident, and his attitude has flourished through newfound strength and abilities. Together, they establish goals that go beyond mere expectations, encouraging our son to not just meet them but to surpass them. While our son may not always listen to our advice, he takes Dan's suggestions seriously and follows through with them. The surge in our son's confidence over the past couple of years is truly outstanding. Even in the face of stressful situations, he remains remarkably composed.”

“I have known Dan Gazaway for many years. I have seen how his ability to teach and instill confidence and self-esteem in others has resulted in success in athletics & real-life experiences. Dan was an instructor and mentor to two of my sons who received collegiate athletic scholarships. Dan instructed another son who applied Dan's teachings in becoming the MVP of his track team two years in a row. Dan implements increasing confidence, self-worth, determination, and life skills in a remarkable way. His talent and ability to coach, mentor, and instruct life-changing skills can be used by anyone who has the desire to become a better student, employee, athlete, or person.”

“I have been working with Dan for a few months now. Not only has he helped me become a better athlete, he has also helped me with the mental part of the game. confidence is important in sports, especially Baseball. Sometimes when things weren't going well, I could get down on myself. Dan has been able to help me put things into perspective and to maintain my confidence regardless of whether I am playing a good game or currently struggling. This has helped me to limit the times I have bad games. I highly recommend Dan Gazaway.”

“I have 5 children. 4 boys and 1 girl. All 4 of my boys have had the opportunity to be mentored and taught by Dan Gazaway. Over the past 15 years of Dan being a part of my sons baseball journeys, I have appreciated Dans ability to teach confidence, self worth, mental fortitude and positive attitude. Many coaches struggle to teach you how to fix the problem. But Dan has always been able to pinpoint the issues and make the right adjustments to help improve each of the boys situations. I recommend Dan Gazaway with full confidence. My oldest is a father now and my youngest is about to go play baseball in college. I am grateful that Dan has instilled great confidence and traits that will help them for the rest of their lives.”

“Dan Gazaway has taught my two boys Charlie and Edward for four years now. I could not ask for a better mentor for my sons.

Charlie is an ambitious young man but lacked the natural athletic ability and raw 'God-given' talent that we often see on the baseball field. However, right from the beginning Dan saw the strengths Charlie did possess, enhanced them and supplemented them by addressing all his weaknesses on the mound--both physical and mental. Charlie quickly became a commanding force on the mound--despite not having the raw power his peers have. Playing on a top high school baseball team in Utah now, Charlie has become one of the top pitchers for his JV team as a freshman--despite not having the fastest arm. Charlie's command, control and confidence on the mound has inspired his coaches and opposing teams who routinely marvel at the top hitting teams' inability to get hits and score runs off Charlie. Charlie's mental game is his absolute strongest. Multiple fathers have approached me and told me he's the smartest baseball player they've seen at that age. Dan's focus on the mental game--both with opposition but even more so within your own self--is second to none.

My younger son Edward is about the quietest, most shy boy you'll ever meet. Dan has been integral in helping Eddie to become fearless on the mound, bringing tremendous confidence and command in all aspects of his pitching. He's still the quiet, mild-mannered Eddie we've always loved, but brings a quiet fortitude in all his interactions and we have seen this translate to his academics and into his friendships. Eddie has benefited in more than just his baseball performance; Dan's teachings have become pivotal in Eddie's growth in life.”

“As my son has worked with Dan Gazaway we have noticed a huge change in his confidence on the baseball field and in life. He has learned how to express his concerns and ask his coaches questions confidently and respectfully. Dan has helped our son find ways to problem solve and grow as an athlete. He has also encouraged our son to use his fun personality to encourage his teammates, school friends and his family. Dan teaches his students to be positive and deal with setbacks in a healthy way. We have appreciated how Dan has set goals with our son and pushed him to put in the work, while always keeping things uplifting and encouraging.”
